"The love of Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life," says Pastor Bill Lovell.

A Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church in America, Bill is the Pastor and team leader for a group which is reaching out to Carrollton, Texas. "Jesus has loved us," says Lovell, "and now Jesus' love flows through us to others." Christ Church meets in The Plaza Arts Center on the Historic Square. "We are the downtown church in a city of 133,000 people," says Lovell. "Many of our neighbors are founding families with deep roots in the community; others are first generation immigrants who've bought their first home or live in local apartments. More than a few are struggling. Whoever they are, rich or poor, newcomer or old-timer, we want to reach out to them to build a Christ-centered fellowship, a humble fellowship, a fellowship which aims to worship Jesus by both hearing and doing his Word." Lovell says one of Christ Church's driving values is authenticity: "There's too much play-acting in church life; too much phoniness; too much going through the motions; too much hype, not enough Him. We hope you will join us in getting real with God and with one another! Please come this Sunday at 10:30am!"
Bill and his wife Leslie have five children, Grace, William, John, Mary, and James. Bill loves long walks, listening to music that's either very old or very new, reading, hanging out with his family, and discovering the joys of church-planting!
