Amber & Terrill Shrock
Amber and Terrrill Shrock are Christ Church missionaries who for the last two years have been working among the Ik people of Northeastern Uganda. As Wycliffe Bible Translators they are working to bring God's Word to this remote part of Africa. The Ik langauge is only a spoken language, but the Shrocks are changing that. In their short time there the Shrocks have been working with the Ik to develop an alphabet, syntax and vocabulary. Once they are finished with that important work, they will begin Bible translation. As a linguist Terrill spends most of his time surrounding himself with the langauge. Amber is a licensed nurse and provides medical care three days a week to many of the tribal clusters (homes). When the Ik people who are seeking medical attention are too far away, she goes to them. Please pray for the Shrocks and for their important work among this previously unreached people group.
